Bandana | Our All-Weather Friend
We all have come to love Bandanas, especially in these difficult circumstances. Be it running, cycling or working out, they are super handy and convenient to work with.
But did you know that its origin ties back to Medieval India?
Bandanas originated in India somewhere in the 17th Century as bright coloured handkerchiefs of silk and cotton. The word stems from the Sanskrit term बन्धन meaning "a bond".
It is then believed to have made its way to the far reaches of the world, morphed into different shapes and forms, and has found itself to be tied to various subcultures today.
And it's no surprise why.
The multitude of ways in which it can be used has accelerated its adoption in all parts of the world. Use of materials that are antibacterial has aided its fast dispersion in the current scenario. And it is not going away anytime soon.
2020 will not be forgotten.
Additionally, using thermoregulatory materials like bamboo can pack an extra punch. These can now be used as a neck & head warmer or as a sub-layer of other clothing accessories for cold climates. Inversely, it keeps you cool in warm weather conditions.
Bamboo to the rescue, again.
Such an interesting product. Can be used in so many ways.
Give it the love it deserves :)
